End of my work week

I thought it would never get here! It seemed like it anyway. I finally get paid next week. My payday seems like it can't get here soon enough. Anyway, hopefully I can survive another week. I wish to get paid soon!

finally. My sinuses are still acting up, but I'm feeling better as the days go by. I still wake up with this headache, but that should go away shortly.

It is Tuesday and I have orientation today. It's strange that I didn't have that closer to my hire date, but oh well. I shall be bored and will take advantage of their continental breakfast. I have to be there between 7:30 and 8 a.m.. I must leave now. Hope the day is decent.

Weekend of Sunday

'Tis Sunday and it is laundry day. I have finished my homework for the week and am looking forward to finishing my laundry (notice I didn't say "starting" it) and watching " I am Legend". I got that off of Netflix.

I took a shower, took a nap, and am all rested. I am ready to start my day on Monday, and hopefully I will feel better than I did on previous days of last week.

I watched Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade last night on the "Sci-Fi" channel. That is my favorite of the Jones' movies simply because it has Sean Connery in it. It is wonderous.

Off I go to finish laundry and rest. Toodaloo.

Almost done

with my first week at the speech and audiology clinic. I can't wait until I'm productive. I've been doing observing and going to training classes all week. I'm getting restless. Oh well.

I am really enjoying having a steady job, however, I won't get my first paycheck until June 6th! That's a long time. That's almost a month with no money. I don't count that little "economic hardship" check because I haven't seen it yet, so I don't believe it. I'm not going to depend on it to save me from monthly bills.

It is Friday, and I have successfully finished my first week at my new job. I haven't been feeling all that well, but I've been able to get through it okay. I just have this overwhelming lethargic feeling and nausea that has stuck with me since Monday. Oh well. I think it may have something to do with the change in climate or something. It's been getting humid pretty fast here.

I'm very happy it's the end of the week finally! Friday's make me happy ;)

Too Sweet

So I was at work today and someone handed me cake for a baby shower that an employee was having. She didn't ask me. She just handed it to me because apparently, they wanted to get rid of the cake. Maybe it's been a while since I've had anything sweet, but man, was that cake way too sweet for me. I guess it's because I don't eat much sugar in my diet or because I've just been drinking diet drinks too long. I am not having cake again for a long time. I don't like it. I would rather get a pie on my birthday than a cake. If it is a cake, I would request that it have no frosting on it, and just have the bread with 'pudding' type filling.

Anyway, don't try cake again if you are not used to the sweet taste, because if you haven't had cake in over a year or two, it is definitely a shock to the system. At least it was for mine. Never again.

I got the job!

At the end of this week, I will be done with this temporary position at Duke HomeCare and Hospice and will go into a permanent position at Duke Hospital. I will be a clinical service coordinator with the Duke Speech and Audiology clinic! I'm excited and so is the individual that hired me. My money problems will be less distinctive than they have the past month. I am very thankful for the opportunity, and am very fortunate to have this job offered to me. I am so very relieved. Ki Sun and I will go celebrate over the weekend. I am so happy! Yay!

It is Sunday and last night I went to bed at 7:45 and got up at 2:30. I read some of "Light" and went back to sleep. Now I am up again 12 hours later from the time I went to sleep. It is wonderful, however, I may take me a mid day nap. The weekends need to last longer.

I have nothing interesting, paranormal, psychological, or disillusioning to say this morning. I am rather sleepy and I have to do laundry. This is what I have to look forward to today. Not having money to do my laundry, or to get to the laundromat. It is wonderful, and very stressful. I don't know why I'm so poor as of recently. I think it may be due to the excess bills we've had. Must be. Something's changed. I think it may be the gas prices that are killing me. Maybe it's the car. Maybe it's the unexpected bills that come our way. Maybe it's the way that as soon as I come into some money, it all goes away just like that because of these unexpected bills. I am so ready for a new job that pays me more money. A week is all I have left at this temporary position. If that lady decides to call me back, and I think she will, I will be making more. I will be content finally, with money in my pocket. I hope my luck will soon change. Please give me your good thoughts. I have used all of mine.

has finally arrived. It is jeans day where I work. I am going to participate! I have to go by the store this morning and pick up some potato salad because we are having a "hot dog day" for lunch today. It will be nice.

On another note, my rental car for all of those who are interested is a Chevy HHR. It's very nice and looks like those PT cruisers that are around town. So there you have it. My car is getting fixed and my rental car drives very nicely. It's a win win, except for the 500 dollars I won't have when my car is finished.
